This policy reflects the values and philosophy of Bill Quay School in relation to the teaching and learning of English. It gives a framework to which all staff, teaching and non-teaching, work. It gives guidance on planning, teaching and assessment. This policy is intended to be used in conjunction with the National Literacy Strategy which gives details of what pupils in each age group will cover.
