Bill Quay is a small primary school located in the east of Gateshead near the River Tyne. Built in 1877, the school is one of the oldest in Gateshead and retains lots of its original Victorian features. There are currently 141 pupils aged 4-11 years on roll, coming from a wide catchment area, including Hebburn and Wardley. There is also a Pre-School offering sessional or full day care for pupils aged 3-5 years.
The school has plenty of space for our pupils to enjoy, including two halls, a music room, two libraries and an ICT suite. Outside, we have a school field, garden, pond and two yards. A new reception classroom was built in May 2005 together with an outside play area.
