Improving Our School Grounds Project.

Class 3 have been busy combining work in Humanities, Art, Science and PSHCE to improve their school grounds. We noticed the garden had become very overgrown and we were finding it very difficult to use without being stung by nettles and pricked by thistles - ouch! We therefore decided that the improvement of our garden should be our project for the next two months. Green fingers are needed by all for this one! Read on to find out more and to see our progress.

This is what the garden looked like in May 2006. Definitely a bit of a jungle.

We went into the garden and sketched the things we liked. Parts of the garden are very pretty whilst others need some tender loving care.

We have thought about the improvements we would like to make and have come up with our own plans.
To raise money for this project we are having a sponsored "Grow Your Own Sunflower" competition. The sunflowers will then be planted in our new look garden.
