Centre of Life Visit Year 5

Our science topic is solids, liquids and gases and we enjoyed a fun-packed day at the Centre for Life. We visited 2 science labs, the first one was to see a snow show were we learned all about how penguins keep warm in the South Pole, then Lucy put on lots of items of clothing to show us how to keep warm. During the rest of the show we found out about solids, liquids and gases. The next lab we visited was to learn the difference between snow and ice. We learned how to stick some string on to an ice cube by adding salt. In the afternoon we all went ice skating. It was great fun!
