Yesterday Year 6 visited South Shields Museum to learn more about their history topic World War II. When they arrived at the museum, they looked at objects that would have been used during the war. The children were given a list of different objects; they had to find information about, around the museum. “I found out that you could buy specially designed glasses to be worn under a gas mask and that there where more than one type of ration book” said Natasha. Jordan Allison had this to say “I think the trip was fantastic we learned lots more about the Second World War.”
