Comenius Project visit to Budapest

Mrs Hilton and Mrs Messenger have recently visited Budapest in Hungary, as part of the Comenius Project.
They took a tourist guide of our local area made by Year 6 to give to each country within the project and received a tourist guide about Leon in Spain, Krakow in Poland and Budapest in Hungary.
The teachers were introduced to the Hungarian school system and the similarities and differences to our own. Pupils begin at the age of 6 or 7 and continue until the age of 16. They had a tour of the school, observed English and Music lessons and even took part in their own handcraft lesson where they made Christmas cards. They were made to feel very welcome and had a fabulous time.
The next project meeting will be held in Bill Quay in March were pupils and teachers from each of the countries will be coming to take part in many activities within our school.
