This half term, the whole school have taken part in a multi-cultural week, focusing on the countries of Spain, France, Hungry, Poland, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. As part of the weeks activities pupils have studied the countries, tasted traditional food and taken part in various workshops. Year 2 and 3 took part in a Flamenco dancing workshop where they learnt simple steps, claps and movements to Spanish music.
Great fun!
Year 6 had the opportunity to work alongside professional dancer Ilya Andreyev when they took part in a Hungarian Dance workshop.
The multicultural project culminated with an assembly at the end of the week. Each class took it in turn to present their work about the countries they had studied. This included music, singing and dancing.
