South Sheilds Museum

On Thursday children from Year 6 visited South Shields Museum where they learnt about what it would of been like, living in Britain, during the Second World War. They listened for the sound of an air raid siren and then took part in an mock air raid. The children were then given various artefacts from the war which they linked to the clues on their worksheets.

In the afternoon the children turned detectives as the 'Phantom Claw' had planted a device in the museum. They looked for clues in riddles and codes around the museum to help them find the 4 digit number code, which they needed to enable them to deactivate the device.

The children had great fun finding the code and saving the day!
