Visit to St. Mary's Heritage Centre

Year 1 visited St. Mary's Heritage Centre and were given the opportunity to look at and play with Victorian toys. They played with a variety of toys including Jacob's Ladders, Dominoes. Pick Up Sticks, Spinning Tops, Yoyos, Jacks and Skittles. They then thought of toys they play with now which were taken from Victorian ideas. After that, Richard introduced a range of Victorian artefacts from the home and asked the children to guess what they were used for. The children were then given the chance to handle the original artefacts.

What a busy morning!
