Thornley Woods

Year 3/4 visited the Woodlands Centre to learn about Habitats as part of their science topic. They went into the 'Hide' to spot the animals within the woodland before discovering newts, dragonfly larvae, water snails and tadpoles whilst pond dipping. Pupils then took part in a nature trail using a map and their scientific knowledge to find the next clue. They had a fabulous day and the sunshine helped too.

Children having fun pond dipping!
