Seyi, Keir, Tanith and Alice from Year 5, represented the school in the heats for the Robotics Competition 2009 against other Gateshead schools at the City Learning Centre on Friday 14th June. The children were given the challenge of programming a robot to do 5 different movements using a light sensor, ultrasonic sensor and a sound sensor. 'The Bill Quay Electronics' worked brilliantly as a team sharing and implementing their ideas. They performed amazingly in the challenge and were just pipped at the post, finishing in second place. Well done!
