Year 5 had a great fun when they visited Gateshead CLC on Wednesday morning. Linked to their literacy topic the children started the session by reading a description of the notorious pirate Black Beard. The children then worked independantly writing a paragraph using lots of adjectives, to describe a pirate of their choice. Using the computer the children then recorded their descriptions, adding appropriate musical instrumentals as background music. The children, at the end of the lesson, had the opportunity to listen to some of their finished pieces.
