St Mary's Heritage Centre

As part of our topic 'Eye of the North' Year 3 visited St. Mary's Heritage centre and worked with Richard. He took us on a historical tour of the Quayside and told us all about the bridges and how the Tyne Bridge was originally where the Swing Bridge is now. We also sketched the different bridges from the Quayside to go on display in school. We had a fantastic day even though it was very cold!!!
