Yesterday, Year 5 had a fantastic day at Bede’s World learning about life in Anglo-Saxon times. They learned about life in a monastery, and were even to wear a monk’s habit. “I really liked dressing up as a monk because it was lots of fun,” explained Matthew. They also learned about the homes that Anglo-Saxons lived in and the types of animals they kept. Alex really liked seeing the animals and explained, “The pig was my favourite because I liked its name.”
