Sports Premium
Physical Education at Bill Quay Primary School
At Bill Quay Primary School our aim is to inspire all children to develop a love of physical activity and sport. Through good physical education (PE), whole school values and a whole child approach, we aim to nurture confident, resilient children who will strive for their personal best. We believe that a dedicated and varied curriculum has a positive influence of the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children. The continued allocation of the sports premium funding will enable us to continue to extend our provision through employing additional sports professionals, entering into more competitive sports competitions and training our staff to continue to deliver quality PE sessions. Our PE policy can be read here.
What is Primary PE and Sport Premium?
The PE and Sport Premium is designed to help children get an active start in life, supporting primary schools to improve the quality of their PE and sport provision so that pupils experience the benefits of regular exercise. Advantages of becoming healthier both mentally and physically will improve behaviour and aid better academic achievement.
At Bill Quay Primary School, we received £17,810.40 in our Sports Premium grant for 2024-25. This money is ring-fenced and has to be spent on improving the quality of physical activity for our pupils. Please read our Sports Premium Report for details of how the money was spent and its impact on our school.
