COVID-19

Updated Guidance - 5th November 2021

Due to the increased number of Covid19 cases in our area, Gateshead Council have issued new guidance regarding the re-implementation of some procedures in order to safeguard our pupils, staff and the community:

  • Only essential visitors are allowed in school at this time.
  • Parents and carers are encouraged to wear face masks when entering the school grounds and avoid unnecessary close contact with those outside their household.
  • Household close contacts, who are exempt from isolation and are attending school, should carry out daily lateral flow testing for 10 days after the onset of symptoms of the case in their household, and only attend school if their lateral flow test is negative.
  • With effect from Monday 8th November, the one-way system will operate into the school grounds.  Please enter by either the infant yard or by the junior gate next to Plantation Grove.  All parents and carers must exit via the gate at the side of the school office.
  • School start and finish times will remain the same at present.

After school clubs and pre-planned events are still able to go ahead at this point in time.

At present (September 2021), school is open to all pupils unless they have tested positive on a PCR test for Covid 19 and are self-isolating as a result.  If your child has tested positive for Covid 19 but is well, then they should access their learning via Google Classroom.  Please visit our Remote Learning Hub for information and updates regarding remote education.
