Anglo Saxon Monks
Year 4 enjoyed a fabulous afternoon with Richard, 'That History Bloke', learning all about the importance of Anglo Saxon monks. They learnt about the different jobs that the monks did, their daily routine, games that they played and prayers that they would have sang.
Pupils enjoyed exploring a whole range of replica artefacts from the period, learning Anglo Saxon words and playing a game that would have been popular with the monks. They even got to try their hand at writing like the monks would have!
