Prehistoric Britain

Durham University came in to teach Year 3 all about Prehistoric Britain this week.

The day began by learning about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.  Pupils turned into archaeologists to explore some prehistoric artefacts.  They learnt about burials and how archaeologists use artefacts found alongside skeletons to learn more about them.  They finished the day by making pinch pots and coil pots to explore how skills and knowledge developed from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age.
