Year 6 pupils have explored the Christian views on the question: 'Is anything ever eternal?' and have come up with some questions of their own, which we have discussed together.

In Art, we've been studying Paul Cezanne and his use of colour in his Still Life paintings, as well as examining how sculptors have shown different emotions in their work. See how we've created our own faces from clay to show emotion, and watch us hard at work mixing our own colours to paint our own Still Life pictures.

In our first RE topic, Year 6 have been studying the theme of 'Commitment', and have been exploring how Muslims show commitment to their faith. As part of the topic, we looked at some religious objects which were important to Muslims, and considered what questions we might have as a result:

 

 

In our autumn term French, we have been learning how to describe what people are wearing. Our independent role play was to create a conversation between a shop assistant and a customer wanting to buy an item of clothing. Listen to one of our efforts:

Autumn term: The Music of the 20th Century.
