Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers.
At Bill Quay Primary, we use our funding primarily to develop staff professional knowledge and to fund teaching assistants who deliver 1:1 intervention and small group tuition. Intervention strategies include using online resources, such as Lexia, Third Space Learning and Accelerated Reader.
Because we have relatively small numbers of pupils in each cohort who are eligible for pupil premium funding, analysing progress data can be difficult. Progress for all pupils is carefully tracked and those pupils who are underachieving will receive extra support.
Our strategy reports (below) detail how much funding we have received for the financial year and how we plan to spend the funding. Each report also evaluates the impact of our Pupil Premium strategy for the previous year.
