We had lots of messy fun at Science club this afternoon! After looking at examples of different solids and liquids, we looked at something very special – a Non-Newtonian Fluid. This fluid acted like a liquid because we could pour it and it would run through our fingers, but when we hit it or rolled it in a ball, it acted like a solid.
You can try this at home by putting two cups of cornflour in a bowl and adding one cup of water. Be prepared – it’s very messy!
