Wendy Oliver, Nursery Nurse from the QE Hospital came to talk to us about what to expect if we visited hospital

As part of our People who help us topic Reuben's Mammy, Clair came to talk to us about her role as an NSPCC Counsellor. She even brought the mascot Buddy to meet us. He got so many cuddles.

Thank you to Francesca's Mammy for coming to talk to us about her job as a Teacher for children with hearing loss. We looked at some real hearing aids and learned how to sign the happy birthday song!

Thanks to Max, Y3 Mam who very kindly brought the ambulance to school and talked to us about her job as a paramedic. We even got to go inside the ambulance!

Reception had a visit from Postie Dave, Beth in Year 5's Daddy. He told us all about his job as a postman. Thank you, Dave

Eric the Elf arrived in school today!!!!

David the vicar helped us start off Christmas when he visited. He told us the Nativity story and then we sang some Christmas songs!

Eric the Elf was so kind today (with a bit of help from Mrs Burrell) he made mini gingerbread men for the whole class!

Reception loved their visit to the Customs House to see Santa's Naughty Elf!

Reception Class are going to be working with musician Brendon Renwick for the next 4 weeks telling traditional tales through story and music!

This week we read the story of The Mixed up Chameleon and we had a visit from some real reptiles. We got to touch and stroke them.

This week in music Dr Renwick told us the story of The Gingerbread Man, we acted out the story using puppets and instruments

In music we heard the story of the Magic Porridge Pot! It was fun!

This week Dr Renwick told us the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Fleur dressed up as the Mother and Dr Renwick dressed up as the giant in a funny wig!

In our last musical story session we heard the story of The 3 Bears. The Bears had rumbling tummies in the story, the noise made us laugh!

2 police officers visited Reception and Year 1 today to talk about road safety.
