Bill Quay Primary School is a Rights Respecting Primary School in Gateshead. The Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) is a UNICEF award which encourages schools to put the UN Convention on the Rights of Child (UNCRC) at the heart of their educational policies and practices.
Since September 2012, the school has worked closely with UNICEF to develop an ethos based on respect. Having worked alongside parents, governors and the local community, we were the first school in Gateshead to achieve the Level 2 award. We now hold the Gold Rights Respecting School Award.
